I paint and teach using an experimental abstracted approach with acrylics, mixed media and household implements.
What interests me the most is using different mediums to see if they can add to the atmosphere and mood I intend in my work.
Always looking for something new to push compositions a bit further towards the unexpected, I encourage students to do the same. Fun and confidence building are key to the process in my workshops.
I exhibit throughout the year, run a selection of different workshops, and demonstrate my process and techniques when invited by art groups.
Please contact me for more information.
There is a five minute video on the blog page for a taster idea of the process of my painting, "Intuitive Art Freedom to Paint" workshops that I run, and "Art for Well Being".

Natasha Day
Liberating day painting with Natasha. Reminded me why I love using paint.
Good luck with the new website. I really enjoyed our day with you, learning new ideas and techniques about abstract painting. It was a fun day with helpful instruction and advise from you. Good luck.
I think your paintings are beautiful, love the pinks blues and purples, never realised the fens could be so inspiring.
Thank you dear Yvonne, I’m so pleased you like them. Thank you for your support. X
Love your work especially, view from sutton window, lands end and sedge fen linseed. get these on Pinterest and Instagram

I really enjoyed my day with you on the abstract painting workshop, thank you so much! I learnt so much and I’ve continued using the techniques at home. Your work is beautiful and your instruction was inspirational!
Thank you for the great Intuitive Painting workshop yesterday and, for being so supportive and generous. It was the first time I’d picked up a brush in 30 years - and I’m so glad I took the risk to try. I hope to join you at another workshop, soon.
Dear Natasha,
What an inspirational day you have really opened my eyes to having fun with painting and not getting too hung up about detail. Such an uplifting experience I will definitely attend another course Thank you so much you are a great tutor. I have already order the roller sponges.
Thank you for a great Intuitive Painting workshop and, for being so supportive and generous. It was the first time I have picked up a paintbrush in 30 years and am so glad I took the risk to try again.I hope to see you at another workshop soon.
Your name was given to me by Cindy Gidney. Do you have any space left on Saturday’s Norwich workshop as I would love to come!
Thanks
Catherine Gibson
Thank you for a lovely day. I came home with lots of new techniques and ideas plus being inspired to try something different. Looking forward to the mixed media workshop. What fun the day was! Karen
Thanks Natasha for the inspiration you provided in your workshop for my canvas Sotto Voce III. It sold yesterday at the White House Arts charity art exhibition so has raised funds for charities Rowan and Practical Action. Can’t wait for the December workshop at Ely.
Love Sedge fen Lindseed series. no.2 xx
Thank you Lisa x
Thank you so much Natasha for a great course today. My first time painting with acrylics! I am totally inspired and plan to carry on experimenting!
Lovely to hear Sue, you did so well! Glad you enjoyed the workshop. Stay in touch, Natasha x
Absolutely fantastic day with Natasha. It was relaxing but also pushed you. If anyone is thinking of giving one of the workshops ago, I would highly recommend it. I have done two now and enjoyed every minute of both.
Thank you Bronte, a pleasure working with you and your family. Natasha x
What a wonderful day at your workshop for our group at Necton yesterday! We have all surely moved up a notch and into that other world of freedom and make-believe. Thank you for encouraging me to break out from the corset of reality! I’m now finally off the blocks with acrylics.
Went to your workshop at Necton and really enjoyed it. It has inspired me to start painting again.
Brilliant course thank you Natasha. You are such a positive and inspiring teacher. You helped to free me from years of being inhibited by fears of “getting it wrong”. How great to learn that there is no “wrong”; there is just learning. And what a lot we learned. I had no idea you could create such interesting effects from such ordinary household items. It was informative, relaxing and really good fun. Well worth the 4 hour journey, though I do wish I lived nearer so I could come to more. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for this feedback, it keeps me inspired to keep doing what I love doing x
Thanks for a great workshop….informative, inspiring AND fun! I’m hooked.
My pleasure Jane, so pleased to hear your comments, thank you.
Huge thanks Shirley for such an enthusiastic feedback, keep painting and exploring x
Natasha is a very encouraging teacher and her painting workshop always gives a real boost to my sense of well being. I would encourage anyone to give this a go, especially beginners. Drawing ability not required, just a sense of fun and a willingness to experiment!
Just be warned that one workshop won’t be enough, this stuff is seriously addictive
Thank you Pippa, delighted you enjoyed the weekend exploring end experimenting adding to your art skills…keep going Natasha.
Well this week end painting with Natasha in Ely was a huge success.
As usual she got amazing results from a group of people , who , in 2 days shed their inhibitions and produced great works of which they were really proud. Each of them said they were so enthused and that they would carry on finding their way into more “gestural painting”.
Natasha is a very inspiring tutor. Her style is so liberating and really does encourage the ‘freedom to paint.’
Dear Natasha,
Thank you once again for another very inspiring and enjoyable workshop. I think everyone went home happy. There were lots of positive comments and requests to be informed of any further workshops. Do please tell us more about your ‘bleeding tissue paper’ and gelly printing as I think we would like to book one, if not both, in due course.
Dear Chris
Just to say a big thank you for organising today’s fantastic workshop. I
had such a great time and came away feeling quite happy with my work. Just
so different from anything I have ever done!
Such a lovely mix of people. Hope we didn’t leave too much mess.
Please let me know of any workshops in the future especially with Natasha.
Kind regards
Di
