"Raw" are mixed media collage and acrylic on board and is a development of my mixed media Landscape paintings focusing more on the texture and composition of abstraction. These works aim to engage the senses to encourage observation of the world around us in its complex mystifying beauty. It connects to the concept of healing, putting parts of historical fractures from family and geopolitical issues together in a new way to move forward from the past to reconciliation both within me, my community of family and friends and globally.
